Ground Covers: Applications & Usage
Interested in Better Soil?
- Apply between ¼” and 4” depending on your usage goals (see chart below).
- Use in-between and around vegetables, annuals perennials, shrubs and trees to protect soil, conserve water, suppress weeds, and enrich soil.
- Spread evenly over newly planted grass seed to maintain moisture, protect from the sun and prevent erosion.
- Allow to biodegrade either over 3 – 4 weeks or all season, depending on the decomposition estimates (see chart below).

Covers up to 500 square feet, if evenly applied at a depth of 1/4″.
*Decomposition time may vary cut to moisture, sunlight or temperature changes. Add a little more over time as needed.
